Recap: Randolph Rams vs. Northern Highlands Highlanders
While it was all tied up 24-24 at halftime, the Randolph Rams were not quite the Northern Highlands Highlanders's equal in the second half on Saturday. Randolph took a hard 66-52 fall against Northern Highlands. Randolph has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Northern Highlands' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sawyer Chapler, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Freddie Kanning was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds.
Randolph has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Northern Highlands, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Randolph will take on Pequannock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Pequannock is ranked 126th, while Randolph is ranked 120th). As for Northern Highlands, they will be playing at home against Hackensack at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hackensack is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
