Fort Wayne Snider extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-3 in the process. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heritage Patriots. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 8-1 to the Patriots when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Makayla Stone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Fort Wayne Snider saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ameera Kummer, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.
As for Heritage, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.5 runs this season.
On Heritage's side, Danica Fuller made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Fuller was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abriyah James, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Avi Washington, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Looking ahead, Fort Wayne Snider will challenge Columbia City at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Heritage, they will face off against Carroll at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
