Lakeside School took a 23-point loss the last time they faced off against Edgewood Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Chiefs escaped with a win on Tuesday against the Wildcats by the margin of a single free throw, 64-63.

Despite the loss, Edgewood Academy still got an impressive performance from Jadah Townsend, who shot 54% from the field to rack up 38 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds. That was a full 60.3% of the Wildcats' points, marking the fourth time in a row Townsend has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Savannah Wood, who put up 12 points.

Lakeside School now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Edgewood Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
