Baseball Game Preview: El Camino Wildcats vs. San Pasqual Golden Eagles

For the second straight game, El Camino will face off against San Pasqual. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Eagles at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (El Camino 4, San Pasqual 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

El Camino's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Thursday's struggle, when San Pasqual hitters got past them. The Wildcats came up short against the Golden Eagles on Thursday, falling 11-5. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

El Camino saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Mount, who went 3-for-4 with one run. Isaiah Saldivar was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

San Pasqual's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for El Camino, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
