Volleyball Recap: Lithonia Bulldogs vs. Druid Hills Red Devils

Lithonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Druid Hills Red Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2019.

The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-6.

Druid Hills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sophia Florence led the charge by getting five aces and a kill. That's the most aces Florence has posted since back in August. Caroline Rogers was another key player, getting seven kills and five digs.

Lithonia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Druid Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-14 record this season.
