Volleyball Recap: Artesia Bulldogs vs. St. Pius X Sartans

Artesia and St. Pius X squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Artesia had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Sartans. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Sartans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Kailee Padilla paced Artesia's offense, picking up 11 kills. Padilla got some help from Kirklyn Miller and her 22 assists. Jenna Whitmire controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leading St. Pius X to victory were Aliyah Lucero and Grace Grady. Lucero had five digs and four aces, while Grady had 11 assists and four digs. That's the most digs Lucero has posted since back in October.
