Softball Recap: Jackson Christian Comes Up Short

Jackson Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the Dyer County Choctaws. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Choctaws since March 16, 2019.

Bailey Robinson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Carley Holt was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Jackson Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Dyer County, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson Christian will square off against Gibson County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dyer County, they will challenge Lexington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Dyer County 3.1, Lexington 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
