If Hampton wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played McDonough, they should've done a better job of containing Zion Greene. The McDonough Warhawks strolled past the Hampton Hornets with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 59-45 thanks to Greene, who went 8-for-15 en route to 21 points and seven boards. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelen Kerbo, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 14 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last three games he's played.

Hampton's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Richard Azu, who posted 16 points. C J Geiger was another key player, putting up 12 points.

McDonough is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points over those games. Hampton's record is now 14-14.

McDonough wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-51 victory against Eagle's Landing on the 14th. As for Hampton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-56 loss against Union Grove on the 14th.
