Volleyball Game Preview: High Tech Mesa Thunder vs. O'Farrell Charter Falcons

The High Tech Mesa Thunder will challenge the O'Farrell Charter Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Back in March, High Tech Mesa didn't have quite enough to beat Helix and fell 3-2.

High Tech Mesa took Helix into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-17, 25-19, 23-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, O'Farrell Charter came up short against Liberty Charter on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

O'Farrell Charter started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 27-25, 25-19, 25-18.

High Tech Mesa has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for O'Farrell Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.

High Tech Mesa beat O'Farrell Charter 2-0 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will the Thunder repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
