Softball Recap: Tenino Comes Up Short

Tenino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 20-1 to the Elma Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Beavers of the 14-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Tenino saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Gonia, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Gonia has brought in this season.

Tenino's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Elma, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Elma will venture away from home to challenge Rochester at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tenino will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' matchup: after the Eagles face off against Non Varsity Opponent, they'll take on Tenino again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
