Softball Preview: Point Arena Pirates vs. Willits Wolverines        
        
		
            
 The Point Arena Pirates will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against the Willits Wolverines at 4:00  p.m. Both teams are strolling into their  contests after big wins in their previous games.
 Last Tuesday, Point Arena made easy work of Calistoga  and carried off  an  18-1 victory. The  win was just what Point Arena needed coming off of  a  13-3 loss in their prior  match.
  Sidney Regelbrugge made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Regelbrugge was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news, Point Arena got a  massive  performance out of  Hattie Piper, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI.  Andrea Spangler was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple.
 Meanwhile, Willits can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by  a  14-4 margin over Potter Valley. The  victory was just what Willits needed coming off of  a  17-10 defeat in their prior  game.
 The  win  got Point Arena back to even at 1-1. As for Willits, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record  this season.
