Volleyball Recap: Shadyside Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Shadyside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Monroe Central Seminoles. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Seminoles from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-15, 25-13.

Defeat or not, Shadyside got some senior leadership from Aubrey Nippert and Ali Weatherson. Nippert had ten digs and five kills, while Weatherson had four digs and two blocks. Weatherson is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season. Addasyn Melanko was another key player, getting seven digs.

Shadyside's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Monroe Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Shadyside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Shenandoah on the 4th. As for Monroe Central, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Wheeling Central Catholic on the 6th.
