Baseball Recap: Greeneview Takes a Loss

Greeneview lost against Perry back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 11-10. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by just one run.

Greeneview saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Penrod, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Andy Burkett was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Greeneview and nudges their season record down to 7-3. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Perry, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Greeneview and Perry should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Rams (ranked 164th) will meet Catholic Central (ranked 499th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Perry will challenge Chagrin Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (196 vs. 437).
