Softball Recap: McKenzie Takes a Loss

McKenzie was the 10-6 winner over Clarksburg when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The McKenzie Rebels might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-5 to the Clarksburg Rockets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McKenzie saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kailie Hudgins, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Jaycee Stafford was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

McKenzie now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Clarksburg, their win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

While McKenzie had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
