Yuma won the last time they faced Dysart and things went their way on Thursday too. The Criminals put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 9-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Criminals, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ethen Schmidgall looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alonzo Fierro, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Andres Ortiz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Yuma always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dysart only posted an OBP of .259.

Yuma has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Dysart, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Coming up, Yuma will look to defend their home field on Monday against Westview at 4:00 p.m. As for Dysart, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Moon Valley on the 11th.
