Softball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to the Calexico Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 on Tuesday.

Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yanely Felix, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Calexico, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will head out to square off against Jurupa Hills at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Calexico, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Santana at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th.
