Midway is 9-1 against Sweetwater since November of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Green Wave will venture away from home to square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Midway got the win against Jellico by a conclusive 58-36. The Green Wave haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Midway can attribute much of their success to Kyleigh Cawood, who shot 45% from the field en route to 18 points and four steals. Tatum Collier was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, Sweetwater gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Sequoyah, sneaking past 47-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since December 13, 2024.

Midway came up short against Sweetwater when the teams last played back in January, falling 55-51. Can the Green Wave avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
