Softball Recap: Blue Ridge Gets the Win

Blue Ridge won the last time they faced Travelers Rest and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Devildogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Kilee Grant spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brynlee Bayne was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March of 2025.

Blue Ridge's record is now 15-3. As for Travelers Rest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Blue Ridge will take on rival Daniel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Travelers Rest is set to challenge their familiar foe Berea at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
