There's no place like home for Triad, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Mascoutah Indians 5-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Triad's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Horn, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Triad has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mascoutah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Triad is taking a road trip to challenge Waterloo at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mascoutah, they will host Highland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
