Basketball Recap: Padua Academy Wins High-Profile Match Against Hodgson Vo-Tech

On Saturday, Padua Academy faced Hodgson Vo-Tech in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything went Padua Academy's way against the Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles as Padua Academy made off with a 67-41 win. Padua Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Hodgson Vo-Tech still got an impressive performance from Marissa Isbell, who posted 15 points and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Isbell a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Smith, who put up seven points and seven boards.

Padua Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
