It was a good run, but South Bronx unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the South Bronx Prep Cougars by a score of 65-63. While losing is never fun, the Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Cougars are ranked 49th).

South Bronx's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for South Bronx Prep, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

South Bronx wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-60 win against Hostos Lincoln Academy on the 3rd. As for South Bronx Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 102-44 victory against Smith on the 3rd.
