Baseball Recap: Northern Guilford Nighthawks vs. Grimsley Whirlies

After losing to Grimsley the last time they met, Northern Guilford decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Northern Guilford Nighthawks walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Grimsley Whirlies on Friday.

RJ Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive pitching appearances.
