Baseball Game Preview: Jackson County Generals vs. Madison Southern Eagles

The Jackson County Generals will head out to take on the Madison Southern Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jackson County is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Jackson County came up short against Knox Central and fell 7-3.

Meanwhile, Madison Southern didn't have quite enough to beat North Laurel on Thursday and fell 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost three in a row.

Madison Southern saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryant Brock, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Madison Southern's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Jackson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Jackson County suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Madison Southern in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can the Generals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
