You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Atkins's strategy against Dover on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Red Devils blew the Pirates out of the water with a 49-0 final score. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Devils also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Cole Crawford went supernova, throwing for 182 yards and three TDs on only ten passes, while also rushing for 38 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Mason Martin, who gained 84 total yards and a touchdown.

Atkins has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 12 points this season. As for Dover, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atkins will venture away from home to square off against Conway Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dover, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clarksville at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
