Buckland had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 61-53 win over the Shishmaref Northern Lights. That's more bragging rights for the Sissauni, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Buckland's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Shishmaref, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-7.

Buckland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shishmaref, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Deering at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Deering has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
