Softball Game Preview: Todd County Central Rebels vs. Ohio County Eagles

The Todd County Central Rebels will face off against the Ohio County Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Todd County Central has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Todd County Central came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to Webster County.

Todd County Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Naomi Welborn, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Ohio County hadn't done well against Hancock County recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles never let the Hornets get on the board and left with a 1-0 win.

Not much got past Madyson Crowe (2027), who gave up just five hits to keep Hancock County off the board. Crowe (2027) has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

Todd County Central dropped their record down to 10-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Ohio County, they now have a winning record of 17-16-1.
