Softball Recap: Lake Minneola Comes Up Short

Lake Minneola lost against Umatilla back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lake Minneola came up short against Umatilla, falling 12-2. The Hawks just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Lake Minneola saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevaeha Parra, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was Parra's first of the season.

Lake Minneola's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Umatilla, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Minneola will welcome Tavares at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lake Minneola is facing Tavares at the right time seeing as Tavares is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Umatilla, they will be playing at home against South Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
