Perhaps the best among them was Inysia McIver, who posted 19 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. The dominant performance gave McIver a new career-high in points. Clara LaChapelle was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine assists.
Southeast Alamance was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Moore only posted three assists.
Meanwhile, Chatham Central strolled past Cummings with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 46-29.
Southeast Alamance better keep an eye on Karaleigh Dodson. She was instrumental in Chatham Central's win, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. Dodson also grabbed seven steals, which is notable because Chatham Central is 9-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 6-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Chloe Scott, who put up 13 points.
Chatham Central has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points over those games. As for Southeast Alamance, their victory bumped their record up to 22-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Southeast Alamance has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Chatham Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
