Soccer Game Preview: Solon vs. Shaker Heights

The Solon Comets will square off against the Shaker Heights Red Raiders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Solon is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Twinsburg just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Shaker Heights kept a clean sheet against Brunswick on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Blue Devils.

Solon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Shaker Heights, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-5-1.

Solon was able to grind out a solid win over Shaker Heights in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
