Baseball Recap: Gretna Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Gretna's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Appomattox County Raiders on Tuesday. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Gretna's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Appomattox County, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4.

Gretna has already played their next game, a 22-12 victory against Chatham on the 16th. As for Appomattox County, they will face off against Buckingham at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
