Softball Game Preview: Nipmuc Regional Warriors vs. Milford Hawks

The Nipmuc Regional Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Milford Hawks at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. Milford took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Nipmuc Regional, who comes in off a win.

Nipmuc Regional took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Nashoba Regional by a score of 6-2.

Meanwhile, Milford came up short against Taunton on Thursday and fell 9-4. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooke Stokes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Isabella Loscerbo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Nipmuc Regional's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Milford, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
