Basketball Recap: New Life Camp Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Wins at Home

New Life Camp entered their contest against South Guilford HomeSchool on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The New Life Camp Storm took a 57-41 bruising from the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Storm this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-37 back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, New Life Camp still got an impressive performance from Caroline Brown, who posted 11 points along with six boards and six steals. Those six steals gave Brown a new career-high. Hannah Brown was another key player, putting up nine points and eight rebounds.

South Guilford HomeSchool found their leader in sophomore Kourtney Bullins, who had 25 points and seven rebounds. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for Bullins. The team also got some help courtesy of Isa Bosch, who posted nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

New Life Camp's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they pushed their record up to 20-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

New Life Camp didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-65 loss against North Raleigh Christian Academy on the 9th. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-20 win against South Charlotte on the 9th.
