Volleyball Recap: Dally Curry and Kashyn Curry Secure Win for Iola

After losing to Osawatomie the last time they met, Iola decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Trojans on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Iola never let Osawatomie on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 28-26.

Leading Iola to victory were Kashyn Curry and Dally Curry. Kashyn had 18 digs, while Dally hit 61.5% for 16 kills and 18 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Dally has posted over her last ten matches.

Iola's victory bumped their record up to 9-23. As for Osawatomie, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-21 record this season.

Coincidentally, Iola and Osawatomie will both be playing Jayhawk Linn the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Jayhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
