Baseball Recap: Hamilton Heights Takes a Loss

Hamilton Heights had lost three straight at home, but on Saturday they dropped down to 6-11 to make it four. They lost 16-6 to the Hamilton Southeastern Royals. The Huskies were not able to make up for their loss to the Royals from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

As for Hamilton Southeastern, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games.

For Hamilton Southeastern's part, Kaden Scholl looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Scholl has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Hamilton Southeastern got a massive performance out of Cy Cole, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Cole a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Clark Bucher, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Hamilton Heights will venture away from home to face off against Mt. Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they will host Indianapolis Kings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
