Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Pensacola took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Malone. Pensacola's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Pensacola saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianni Dian, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Demarcus Newell also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Pensacola's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Malone, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Pensacola and Malone are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Tigers will take on South Walton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Seahawks will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Pensacola surely won't give up without a fight. As for Malone, they will challenge Graceville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
