Volleyball Recap: Southwest Comes Up Short

Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brock Eagles.

Southwest's offense was headlined by Jordan Gutierrez and Mayra Medina, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Amiah Gonzales and her eight assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Among those leading the charge was Harper Davis, who had nine digs and four assists.

Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Brock, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Southwest has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against St. Stephen's Episcopal on the 23rd. As for Brock, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Pflugerville on the 23rd.
