Basketball Game Preview: Chavez Academy Aztec Eagles vs. Center Line Prep

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Chavez Academy turned things around against Universal Learning Academy on Thursday. They took down Universal Learning Academy 55-41.

Meanwhile, Center Line Prep entered their tilt with Taylor Prep on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 42-34 victory over the Tigers.

Center Line Prep pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Chavez Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Chavez Academy was taken down by Center Line Prep 77-33 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Chavez Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
