Basketball Game Preview: Shelby Tigers vs. North Muskegon Norsemen

The Shelby Tigers will challenge the North Muskegon Norsemen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Shelby was able to grind out a solid win over Mason County Central, taking the game 47-35. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Spartans are ranked 355th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, North Muskegon posted their biggest victory since January 24th on Friday. They put the hurt on Holton with a sharp 41-20 win.

North Muskegon's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Shelby, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Shelby against North Muskegon when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 51-23 win. Will Shelby repeat their success, or does North Muskegon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
