Basketball Recap: Pickering Takes a Loss

Pickering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Singer Hornets, falling 59-36. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Pickering's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Singer, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Pickering and Vinton will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Singer, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-63 loss against Lake Arthur on the 24th.
