Football Game Preview: Nova Titans vs. Spanish River Sharks

The Nova Titans will face off against the Spanish River Sharks at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Nova comes in on three and Spanish River on eight.

Nova barely beat Blanche Ely the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Nova's defense stepped up to hand Blanche Ely a 27-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Titans' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a point in their last three matchups.

Nova's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Dezrihana Medina and Loursenie Pascal. Medina threw for 148 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes while Pascal picked up 62 receiving yards and two touchdowns. That's the most receiving touchdowns Pascal has posted since back in March of 2024.

Nova's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was Chloe Clemons with three sacks.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Spanish River on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Atlantic out of the water with a 35-6 final score. The Sharks pushed the score to 28-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had little chance of recovering from.

Spanish River pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.8 points. As for Nova, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
