Baseball Recap: Mount Juliet Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Glencliff on Tuesday, Mount Juliet Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Saints took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nashville Christian Eagles on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Saints of the 5-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Mount Juliet Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Edgerton, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. Edgerton has become a key player for the Saints: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-13 otherwise.

Mount Juliet Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Nashville Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12.

As of now, neither Mount Juliet Christian Academy nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
