Recap: Hilton Head Island Seahawks vs. Savannah Bluejackets
The Hilton Head Island Seahawks's five-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They snuck past Savannah with a 43-38 victory. The victory was just what Hilton Head Island needed coming off of a 64-30 defeat in their prior game.
Among those leading the charge was Leah Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Hilton Head Island's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Wroten, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
Hilton Head Island's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-5. As for Savannah, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Hilton Head Island will head out on the road to face off against Hampton County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hampton County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Savannah, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Memorial Day at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
