Basketball Game Preview: White Mountains Spartans vs. Belmont Red Raiders

White Mountains is 7-1 against Belmont since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The White Mountains Spartans will head out to square off against the Belmont Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m. White Mountains will be strutting in after a win while Belmont will be coming in after a defeat.

White Mountains will bounce into Friday's match after beating Colebrook Academy, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. White Mountains took down Colebrook Academy 51-35 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Belmont was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 37-33 to Prospect Mountain. The loss continues a trend for the Red Raiders in their matchups with the Timberwolves: they've now lost six in a row.

Belmont's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7. As for White Mountains, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

White Mountains took their win against Belmont in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 49-26. Will White Mountains repeat their success, or does Belmont have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
