Basketball Recap: Runge Yellowjackets vs. Pettus Eagles
This season hasn't been kind to the Runge Yellowjackets, who are still winless after their 11th matchup. They were outmatched by Pettus at home and fell 72-25. Runge has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Pettus' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathan Orr, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ramon Reyna, who scored 18 points.
Runge's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Pettus, their victory bumped their record up to 8-17.
Runge will head out on the road to take on the Redfish at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Austwell-Tivoli has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 259 points over their last four matchups. As for Pettus, they will be playing at home against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairie Lea has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
