 After losing to Waverly the last time they met, Lincoln Northwest decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lincoln Northwest Falcons walked away with  a   6-2  victory over the Waverly Vikings  on Thursday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Lincoln Northwest.
  Alex Berry tossed a big game,   striking out six batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side, Lincoln Northwest saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Grant Swanson, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Tyler Aldridge, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Lincoln Northwest's win  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 7-15. As for Waverly, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 17-7.
 Lincoln Northwest will head out on the road to  challenge  Plattsmouth at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Plattsmouth will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  victory, something Lincoln Northwest surely won't give up without a fight. Waverly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
