Baseball Recap: Copiah Academy Comes Up Short

Copiah Academy fell victim to St. Joseph Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the St. Joseph Catholic Bruins, falling 12-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colonels of the 9-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Copiah Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Copiah Academy will take on St. Joseph Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on February 25th. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they will face off against Yazoo County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Joseph Catholic has three straight victories, Yazoo County has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
