Softball Game Preview: Cole Cougars vs. Poteet Aggies

The Cole Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Poteet Aggies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cole has given up an average of 11.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cole lost 13-6 to Marion on Tuesday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zoe Foy made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Heidi Ingram, who scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Poteet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Marion.

Cole's loss dropped their record down to 5-13-1. As for Poteet, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.

Cole might still be hurting after the 15-4 loss they got from Poteet in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
