Aubrey Zachary spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Charley Alford was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Joley Bennett, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Simsboro waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Aggies. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since March 1st.
The team relied heavily on Ciara Caldwell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Jacoya Lewis was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
