Softball Preview: Onalaska Loggers vs. Adna Pirates

Onalaska is 1-9 against Adna since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Onalaska Loggers will head out on the road to take on the Adna Pirates at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Onalaska is headed into the matchup fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Toutle Lake on Monday as Onalaska made off with a 21-8 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Onalaska.

Meanwhile, Adna came tearing into Wednesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Mountaineers 11-1. That's two games straight that Adna has won by exactly ten runs.

Ava Simms made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Simms was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.
