Baseball Recap: Saegertown Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Saegertown put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They came out on top against the General McLane Lancers by a score of 4-0.

Saegertown's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Levi Gardner, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Another was Blake Leslie, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Saegertown hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive matches.

Saegertown's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.8 runs. As for General McLane, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saegertown will host Rocky Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for General McLane, they will welcome McDowell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Lancers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
